I picked up a Dewalt 14.4 volt cordless drill on the ground at the dump back in the day.  It still turned, so I bought a charger for 10 bucks at a pawn shop.  Used it until the battery finally did not hold a charge - about 9 mos. later.  I coughed up $159 and got a dewalt 18v cordless, and have been using it for the last 5 years.  It still runs great, though the bit holder in the handle doesn't grip anymore after a drop from an 8 ft ladder.

I just invested $200 for the combo drill / impact driver with the same 18v batteries and charger.  Got the impact driver for those tough bolts, and the blower wheels & fan pulleys.  So now I have a back up for my cordless drill, the impact driver, two more batteries, and an extra charger.

Dewalt's website sure sucks, but their cordless drill has worked out great for me.

I still have not found a flexible extension that is worth a darn.

I have a mikita lith ion drill / driver.    I was up at home depot,  and they have a lith ion 1/4 inch ratchet.    Im thinking about adding that to my tool bag.    I also have a Craftsman Sawzall,   a Craftsman 14.4 full size drill and a cordless dremel.

Can't find the specs, but the new bending dewalt looks pretty good:
