Whirlpool LER7646EQ1 heat problem
« on: March 23, 2012, 10:13:53 AM »

I have one of these dryers that won't dry clothes in a reasonable amount of time.
I have checked the heating element and there are no breaks in the wire that generates the heat.
So it must be one of the thermostats, could someone point me to the right one.
Thanks for any help

what's the Vent temperatures ?
How's the Vent and Air-flow behind the Dryer and where it exits the House ?
Try a load of clothes with the Vent disconnected.

I cleaned the dryer exhaust, found some lint, but not excessive (dryer is about 12 yrs. old)
Checked exhaust temp. 150 degrees
I'll see what happens (see if wife stops complaining)
Thanks for your input
