Electrolux French Door Icemaker
« on: January 30, 2012, 05:57:39 PM »

Just bought a scratch and dent Elextrolux FD/CD ( EW23BC71IS ) and am worried about the ice maker.  What is the status of the Icemaker?  Mine fridge was made in October 2010.  If I get the board upgrades and related fixes listed in other posts am I going to be alright?  I have a tech coming out Thursday as I can not get the "water button" to work on my control board.  What should I ask him, what should be done to insure I have a sound, useable appliance?

Prayer may help. I have put in many of the upgrade kits and have even walked away from a couple of them that had restrictions in the ice maker evap section. This is a replace able part. However I am not going to be libel soldering one of those in. To close to to much plastic. I hope you have good luck with yours. The ref its self seems good just a overrefined ice maker.
