Frigidaire stove Model # S396shd-1
« on: November 17, 2011, 08:09:16 PM »

I have a customer that has a Frigidaire stove that the oven is a lot hotter than the set temperature in the oven. Is there any way to set the oven temperature. I cannot seem to locate a service manual for this stove but it is probably about 15 years old.

Does it have a thermostat with a knob to set the temp of the oven or is it digital?

It has the rotary knobs on it. Below is a picture of the front panel. I looked at the knobs and there is no adjustment on them.

Besides the adjustment on the knob, did you also look inside the shaft of the control for a adjustment screw?

The oven control doesn't have any adjustment. All it has is two screws that screw onto the front face plate and the shaft that holds the knob on.
