Could this drive the prices of electronic control boards for appliances up?

How about the prices of new appliances?

In the future could there be a shortage of electronic control boards?

Looks like Whirlpool WHR stocks are on a downward trend.

Most appliance boards are aren't produced in japan. So I wouldn't expect any effect on this industry.

What about some of the chips used on them boards. I heard a lot of chips used in all electronics come from manufactures in Japan.

South Korea and China are the main suppliers these days. Now if the Korean peninsula went to war we'd have issues.
