I have a Maytag washer, model #MAV5000AWW that has been trouble free for years until just recently. Harsh vibration, out of balance, clacking noise. After much research on this great site I've decided I need a new snubber ring. No oil residue just white shavings. Springs all connected. Q#1...Should I buy new ring AND springs? Thinking weak springs, and wife washing throw rugs last several years has overworked poor thing. You give me the parts list! :)  Q#2....Do I NEED the special spring tool I've read about in some of the threads? I'm a bit confused as per my specific model needing this spring fiddled with. I'm thinking not?...just a clip removed and lifting whole tub out?  Q#3....What is the little plastic flapper that "clacks" when top of my unbalanced tub hits it during spin cycle called? I'm thinking just an audible alarm for an out of balance tub? Thanks in advance, and I'll order the proper parts with your vendor as per your recommendation. :)
