Whirlpool Duet Sport Error f-01
« on: March 10, 2008, 10:05:21 AM »

The other day I finished a load and then went to start the next one and got error f-01 on my Whirlpool Duet Sport.

I have googled and looked at the manual in the washer and all I can find is that the CCU is bad.

Is there anything I can do other than simply replacing the CCU?  Also I used the part finder and I think this is it, am I right?

Now onto the preventative questions:

This seems to be a relatively common error, with what seems to me a drastic solution.  Is there anything I may have done to cause this so that I don't do it again?  Would having stopped a load early and then started a new one have done it?

I run a business that depends on this machine (luckily I have a backup machine) but is there a better option, or rules of thumb on how to keep these things running?

The Whirlpool part number is W10160252 and my distributors show several in stock if you can't find it locally.

Repair Clinic is out of them at the moment.
