if your outlet is reading 110 and not 220 does that mean dryer will not run?
cause this one is running but no heat?

Are you still talking about the dryer in this topic that you started?

my maytag dependable care dryer is dead?

If so you maybe should just keep all your questions in with that post so it's easier to keep track of things.

If not please modify this post to include your model number.

Depending on what side of the 220 is missing the 110 volts a dryer may run and not heat.
The motor only needs 110 volts to run.

Once again depending on what side of the 220 is missing it may not even run if one side is missing the 110 volts.

For it to work right it needs to be connected to 220 volts under a 30 amp breaker on a dedicated circuit. 110 will not cut it.
