Happy 4th to all my peeps
« on: July 04, 2009, 05:38:37 PM »

Happy fourth yall! I been busy grillin hot dogs and hamburgers fer the younguns. My daughter throwed a monkey wrench in the wurks by branging a package of Bratwurst w/cheese fer me to scramble my brain with a cookin method. I throwed em on the grill and they was all pale and limp with yeller stuff oozin out. I turned em every so often and when they got good and brown I tried one. Hell I guess I am the first one in my family to ever even attemp cooking one and eating one and lived to tell about that there yankee food. I gotta say this: I know why them yeawhos do that tailgate thang in the frosted cold bitterness of winter. That is the best tasting stuff!!! Had a real nice texture and flavor out of this world. Who knew yankee food tasted this good. We have passed by that Johnsonville meat section many times and I have told my old lady "lets try that" Nope too dayum much so we ended up with alabama smoked conecuh sausage which is pretty dang good. In the future we might be in the market. if I can get her to try a piece that is. O0

Live and learn seems to be my motto this weekend...tried to grill some of those Hebrew National Hot dogs on the pit. Boy was that a mistake....those skinny things shrunk down to the size of an asparagus.  Thinks I'll try the Johnsonville line next time m'damself.

Happy 4th back at ya'll.
We did ribs. The only thing that shrank was the big pile of them after they hit the table.
