Dryer won't heat up
« on: May 05, 2009, 03:58:09 PM »

My LG DLE5977W dryer does not dry clothes. The dryer stopped working last night. I have vacuumed the filter area and unplugged the unit and still no results. When I start running the dryer the "cool down" light is illuminated and the unit does not heat up. Any suggestions???????

Does it do this in the timed dry as well as the auto dry cycles?

You can check the temp thermister from the main board. See the service manual on how to do this. If the thermister is within tolerance, replace the board.
