I remove the screws that are holding  the control panel so I can flip it up. I remove the s-clips and unplug the lid switch then I can tip the case towards me and remove it. That gives ya access to the innards without having to move the machine. Ain't that cool? I take the pump clips off and get that out my way. I unplug the motor harness and get that out the way then I pop the clips on the motor and drop that out the way. I remove the old coupling pieces from the motor and tranny. I install the new end pieces first to make sure they are flush with the shafts but NOT binding. I snap it all back together and give it a try with the case off. I jumper the lid switch so I can run it with the case off. That way I can see it do its thang naked. Any leaks or squeals or weird smells can be detected that way. if it is all good I put the case back on. I open the lid and look down at the base. I slide the bottom of the case under the base and set it on the tabs. I ease the case back into place being carful not to break the down spout or pinch the water switch pressure hose.
I plug the lid switch in and snap down the s-clips. Flip down the controls and screw it back into the case. Piece of cake.
