WHDVH626FWW GE Front Load washer;got a bad feeling about this...

Went out to customer; complaint is loud noise when spinning. Checked rear pulley and drum bearing, all were fine. Ran short cycle, no clothes and no noise. When it spun up to higher speed all hell broke loose. Suspect cracked spider support on inner drum. Sound plausible? After doing Frigidaire inner drum for a friend I assume this repair would not be worth the expense. Right?

Sounds plausible to me.   I have had GE's appear normal  until speed ramps up.   Then as you say  'all hell breaks loose'   condemn it

Yes. I agree. Customer probably overloaded it. Think it was about 6 years old.....
