Kenmore By LG 79578783800 light switch on bottom freezer
« on: June 09, 2016, 06:44:00 PM »

Ok I look at the parts diagram and it does not even show they exist.  There is two switches on right side one above and one below the center divider, for the two drawers on the bottom.  I even called Appliance Parts Pro and he could not help me.

I have noticed they just leave parts off, the defrost heater is not listed or shown either.

I really only need the wire harness for the lights.

so if someone can help me find the parts it would be great,  I tried to contact LG but their automated voice system is working as good as this refrigerator. NOT

Thanks, I have called myself looking, some sites dont have it.

I am going to attach a photo of the cross bars, where they ran condenser line, I guess to heat door seals.  This picture shows the second leak I found, due to water getting on steel line.  This unit was left sitting after being washed down.  Hope this helps those who  resale and wash units.  The two leaks were on the left side looking from the front.

The electrical connections for the evaporator and duct fan  coming out of freezer has some thin flat male pins, these were corroded and one broke.  I also had the light blue wire in the switch connection come loose and break.. This was the female plug side.

now who knows the technical size and type of these connectors and what tool do you need to get them loose.

I will probably have to cut out the evap fan connector to get access,.

The duct fan is shot and no longer available.  My searching led me to a place where another said that you can replace the motor with part number EAU36179308 or EAU615013 . I hope  this may help another and save valuable search time.  Can anyone else confirm this as a good fix.?

And this is pictures of the evaporator socket, plug into and the plug. On the plug you may be able to see on the left the blade, female is stuck in..broke off in it.

Its a pain in the butt to get the securing tab to release enough to pull the plug out of socket, when in normal conditions, (not corroded)

Having to squeeze between the divider of the two drawers (GREAT DESIGN for sales) and standing on your head to get back to the Plug.. lol

CHROME ON VISTA just CRASHED. I am back.. but have to buy a new computer.

Now I am off to GOOGLE land trying to find a harness, or complete parts list.  Drive is still downloading a Pdf.. past 2 hours.
