Whirlpool Wall oven with microwave. Model # GMC275PRS01
« on: October 05, 2016, 09:02:45 PM »

First of all the microwave works fine.  The issue is with the oven.  It's a strange problem.  The oven works fine.  But... after the oven is turned off the cooling fan continues running... as it should.  What happens is, that as it's cooling down, a PF [power failure] code comes up.  The circuit breaker is fine.  There is no actual power failure.  When the PF code comes up [and it doesn't happen every time] the customer resets the clock and everything is fine for awhile.  I'm thinking that the main control board is the problem.  Has anyone ever run into this? Any ideas anyone?

I would be looking at the wiring and connectors with a fine tooth comb.

mouse bites, pinched wires ect.

Take the connection junction apart and look for any that may be a little loose.

Had a frigidaire Slide in oven  connector where L1 came into the oven board , it had a poor connection round pin to round female on just this wire L1.  I replace the thermal first time, 6 months later on call back Thermal and fan kit this time , I found it  The L1 connector Black this time.  It showed itself, and I splice around the connector.

I am saying it doesn't look loose, and you may not really be able to tell on these multi pins if the third one is loose and there is six total.

Other thought is a power surge, that starves the control voltage, and inductive loads like fans cause surges.

hard to Isolate.  And you said IT DOESN'T do it all the time.  That means its hard to pinpoint unless your going to spend four hours trying to make it fail.. lol  I hate the ones that work fine when I am there,  but mess up right after I leave.
About the icons: The beer is tip link, if a tech saves ya some money buy em a 6 pack(diet coke in my case) . The small green square=personal message.
