Need help finding GE Dryer Model
« on: January 05, 2014, 08:51:42 PM »

I have a GE dryer and I can't find its model/serial number.  It looks to be between 5-10 years old, and is a fairly cheap model.  I bought it used, and don't have any paperwork on it.  I've looked:

  • Behind the door, where GE recommends to look (no label, and no place where it looks like a label has been removed
  • Both sides of the cabinet
  • Backside of the unit

I can't find anything that looks like a model number.  There is a white sticker on the back with the following info:

NBOA-20081028
*1300746039*
SKU: 7403GTE
SBSR808007A

None of these seem to cross to anything that I can use to order parts.  Do any of the Gurus on the board have any help on ordering parts for this beats?

Thanks

Bud

Pull the timer knob off. The basic model number is often printed on the control panel behind the knob.

 :thanks:

Thanks Oly!

While it didn't have the dryer model number, it did have the part number for the backsplash.  I was then able to cross that to a range of dryers that it could be.  Since I ended up with a cracked knob for my trouble, I could at least buy a replacement.  O0
