Working on a GE Profile SxS model PSS26NGSCWW, S/N SH40407 and need some help figuring out how to troubleshoot the dispenser controls. Customer advises that unit appeared to be operating normally other than dispenser. Dispenser board lights up as it should, but there's no response when calling for water or ice. Also, when requesting to dispense ice or water, the lights just go out. Temps appear normal and main controls appear to work properly. No sign of error codes
Mini-manual I found under unit behind toe grille is one page with tech data on one side & wiring diagram on other (P/N 31-51627), with no instructions on running diagnostics.
I looked through the list of GE service manuals and couldn't find one that covered this specific model, so not sure how to run on-board diagnostics.
This unit has simple lights on dispenser housing and a touch control panel inside the refrigerator compartment with multi-digit readouts.
Since all else appears to be working, I am leaning toward the dispenser board being the culprit, rather than a main PCB. It appears that this unit uses a bus line for control communication, so no way to check for direct circuit issues. Any direction on troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks & wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
