We have Frigidaire model number LFUS2613LE1 Side by Side fridge and freezer.  Serial number 4A03102561.

We noticed a smell like plastic was burning and figured out it was coming from the fridge.  We took the panel off the freezer and noticed the evaporator coils were frozen over so we thawed them out.  All the fans are working properly and there is nothing blocking the vents into the fridge either way.  The air is blowing into the fridge and it is cool air but the fridge side is just not cooling down.  The freezer is cooling properly.

Can you help us please?

Frigidaire had a problem with the foam blocks in the evaporator touching the defrost heater. the no-cool issue is probably a bad defrost limiter thermostat not letting the defrost start or complete. have seen some with a high resistance instead of zero ohms when below 20 degrees.
