GE dishwasher tripping breaker
« on: October 21, 2013, 02:07:35 PM »

I have a ge dishwasher model gsd3200j00ww.

It has started tripping the circuit breaker at the end of the cycle.  I have reset the breaker and ran it a couple times.  It seems to be tripping when it hits the heated dry or the end of the cycle.

It doesn't matter if I have the heated dry on or of.

Is there anything that I can check or does someone have any ideas about what to look for first before I call a repair person?

Thanks for reading!
Jim

The buttons on the left side push rocker switches. These get wet and short out. I'd look there first. (turn the power off) and take out the eight or so screws that hold the door together and have a look.

I checked all of the switches.  I threw a meter on them and tested them for continuity and resistance and they all were the same.  Don't know if those were the right tests to try but I thought I would give it a shot.

Visually, they all looked good with no visible problems.....
