Fridge not cooling
« on: July 22, 2013, 03:08:58 PM »

Model # pds22scrarss
Bottom freezer is ok but top fridge part is not cooling. The thermistors got replaced and the thermodisk  (thermostat ) to. The main control board got replaced as well.  the board's instructions shows that a white wire from the fridge that connects in J1 needs to be cut for all bottom freezer models. What happens if the white wire doesn't get cut?

Nothing that is a sensor some models have that and some don't that's why they say cut it cause you will have no use for that after you install the new board they dont want you sending power to a sensor that the board will not be using I haven't cut the wire yet and units are working fine .do you see ice on the rear wall of the freezer? Remove rear wall in the freezer see it ice is blocking the the air path way if the coils are a block of ice then melt it cause you have a defrost problem ,or check out your damper assy take it down and see if air is coming out of the hole in the frig dampers go bad a lot in this model and for some reason everyone replaces all senors first before damper and its the damper going bad cause cant open the flap wide enough to get cold air

Thanks for replying !! I cut the jumper wire at J9 and the ground wire at the plug next to the capacitor!! This fixed the problem. The fridge side had the wrong temperature reading because of the jumper not being cut.
Thanks for your reply!!!
