Maytag French door refrigerator MFI2269VEM No lites
« on: July 14, 2013, 11:32:12 PM »

I am working on  this unit that everything is running okay only problem is that there are no lites inside or on the despenser. I did some research and found that the unit is in SABBath mode and need to hold ALARM  pressed for 3 seconds and it should bring lites back on. I left customer a note on this and will find out manana if it worked or not. I down loaded service manual from this site and thats where I found this remedy. I will keep you posted. I figured it could not be the elect cord at top left corner of freezer door disconnected because otherwise unit would not be running at all----what do you guys think give me a little input on this thanks

I checked the elect cord and its okay i dismantled the despenser part and notice that when i disconnected it and reconnected it  it made a wierd noise. I figure it is going to be the high voltage board in back to be the culprit. the unit is running good keeping cold but no lites nowhere. I have not had any replyes on this subject, maybe not too many of us work on this darn units
