Ge Washer water coming out of flood hose
« on: July 13, 2013, 07:02:08 PM »

Model WCRE6270G0WW
Washer is leaking water out of the flood tube when agitating on the high water setting.

It did not appear to over fill.

I see there is a flood head gasket.

I have never seen one leak here.  Is this something common?

Should I just replace the flood head gasket, or is there possible some reason it leaked.

Thanks for any input.

I read a little on possible problems and should add that it did not appear to be spinning when it was agitating.

It didnt start leaking until it agitated.  How full should this washer get on the fullest setting?

The pressure tube did not appear clogged at all, but I did not pull it off to check.

Check the motor/inverter for LED error code. If it's flashing 4 times, mode shifter coil has failed and the basket is agitating along with the agitator causing the overflow.

Now that i think about it, it was not spinning when the water got pretty low. I bet thats it. Looks like a pain in the butt to do.
