Troubleshooting and Repairing Major Appliances, Third Edition
« on: October 24, 2012, 09:48:41 AM »

I have read edition 2 (Jun 8, 2007) and in my opinion it's a great book. It had some of the most up-to-date information I had ever seen at the time in a appliance repair book. Today I noticed a new edition is out, edition 3 (Sept. 26, 2012).

Same here. A few years ago I cleaned out some of my books and ended up donating two arms length stacks of computer books to our local library. It's amazing what you can learn from reading. :)

My wife reads a ton of books on her ipad with the kindle app and loves it.

I tried reading a few computer books on my ipad with the kindle app and iBook but did not care for them.

Sorry was gone for 4hours.    The book is more than I expected.  Covers a lot.  Has a lot of clear precise scetches & diagrams.   Lots.   Has error codes for the    The photos are B&W & there is quite a few.  At the beginning he talks about becoming a tech, etique & such.  You will have to get yours There is a lot of info, too much for yhis dinasour to type.  Gotta a dryer to repair, get back on late to night.   My opinion  Book is well worth th money spent.   Patricio

The book has an electronic control section that explains how to diagnose control boards.   It has trouble shooting charts on DC volt system, low voltage AC systems, 120 ac, 240 Ac, etc.
