Had a call today for this french door fridge.
Customer complaint, no ice production.
Opened up the ice maker and tried to force a harvest. After waiting a few mins it finally picked up and harvested. When the ice maker came around to fill, no water for the fill. Water dispensor does work for water through the door.
Called their tech line and with a bit of info from techline Tested CN73 (purple wire) to CN70 (red wire) when a harvest was forced again. There was 120vac present when the ice maker called for a fill. So I know the board is good. The icemaker itself is suspect for delayed response to the forced harvest. I know I have a problem with the fill valve. BUT, the fill valve isn't present in the mechanical compartment like most fridges. Can someone confirm if the valve is part of this assembly? DA97-11435A
If it is, looks like it is accessed from inside the cabinet. If the valve isn't parts of this, can someone help me find it? Is it in the icemaker room buried in the ceiling?
