Speed Queen Dryer (no power to timer motor)
« on: May 25, 2012, 12:46:57 PM »

We have a Speed Queen Electric Dryer (AES28AWF) here at our shop and the timer wouldn't advance in the time dry cycle.  In the sensor dry cycle the motor will get power.  I thought maybe the ceramic resistor on the timer was bad but it seems to ohm about 5000.  I replaced the thermostat on the blower housing with one I had which matched temps and looked like it, but that didn't change anything.  I installed another timer (505794P) still no change.

Its a good looking machine I'd hate to scrap it.  I would appreciate any wisdom I can get.

The Timer Motor wires should be connected to Terminals:

electric models: (yours)
T and M

gas models:
T and N

Have you tested the timer motor triac as suggested on page 14?
Or does this dryer have that fancy MS board ? I could not get the model number to work.
