Post by: brad on February 03, 2012, 03:08:30 PM
This Maytag Neptune washer model no MAH8700AWW (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=omv7WULuxaw&subid=0&offerid=225193.1&type=10&tmpid=2111&RD_PARM0=http%253A%252F%252Fwww.appliancepartspros.com%252Fpartsearch%252Fmodel.aspx%253Fmodel_id%253D5174643&RD_PARM1=http&RD_PARM2=%253A%252F%252Fwww.appliancepartspros&RD_PARM3=.com%252Fpartsearch%252Fmodel.aspx%253Fmodel_id%253D5174643) is having trouble. It will fill, start and wash down to the second rinse ( with 12 on the display) and then just stop. After about 10 minuets it will chime and show WF on the display. If I restart it, it will finish like it is supposed to,but only if I restart it.What do you guys think is going on with this thing, and what do I need to do to repair it?

Here is the service manual.

16026126 Maytag 27 Front Load Washer Service Manual (http://appliancejunk.com/forums/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=370)

I also could not find anything about WF on the display.
Could be a faulty control board.

Maybe another tech will have something to add.
In any case please let us know what you end up doing with it.

I also have never seen a WF code.   Most common stuff on this washer is 2E/3E errors-issue with motor circuit,  Shaking, and No drain/poor drain-Usually a restriction in the drain pump.   You can get into a diagnostic mode on this machine. I have always found it very handy to diagnose the machine.  I personally own one of these washer's!   Keep us posted

When it starts up,it starts, fills, washes, rinses the first time all ok.But when it gets down to the second rinse it just stops.I can hear the water valve, but little or no water comes into the machine,This will go on for about 10 minuets and then it will display the code (might be a nF code)If I restart it,it will fdinish up just fine.

Are both water supply valves turned on?

How is the cold water fill ?  Try it from the start of the cycle on a cold fill. May be a plugged screen in valve or hose.

Both water valves are on and the screens are clean on each hose.It fills fine on start up.
