Did you replace the display board or the control board? Is the ice chute door flap opening and closing on its own? What exactly is it doing?
 If its not running and the flap keeps opening and closing the main control board needs replaced.

It is on the back of the refrigerator. Standing behind it, it will be on the left side a little lower than half way up.
Its got a small cover panel that comes off then you will be at the board, part # 12920710

I believe you have to program the new board with the code in the model number sticker.

It's wanting you to insert a code (to validate it) which is located on the serial number plate. The program code number is after after the word CODE. The program code PE0000 will not allow the machine to run. So find the code and enter it by using the control panel buttons and then once the correct code is in there hold the freezer temp down button till the code flashes. That saves it then hit any key to exit the programming mode. Simple ain't it. LOL I am hoping another tech will come in and simplify that proceedure. I ain't worked on these late models. I am old school too.

Open the fresh food door and hold the fresh food door light switch closed while pushing the freezer temperature down button pad 3 times within 10 seconds.

Release the FF door light switch.
The control will display PE.
When you see PE press the freezer down button one more time.

To set the code press the freezer up key to the code number.
Then press the refrigerator up key for the nex5t code digit.
Once the code is entered press the freezer down key until the code flashes.
When it flashes the code is saved.
It will take a couple minutes for the compressor to come on after the code is set.

Mr. Sanchez;

The new control came with good instructions as to how to do this. However, some folks need a visual aid instead of writing to see how things like this are done. The following video explains how to program the Maytag Jazz board:

The instructions to program the board should be on the tech sheet thats with the refrigerator. Check the compressor compartment behind the refrigerator.

Anyone knows what goes bad on these boards .. most I see will not go into a automatic defrost... you can force them into defrost...I am thinking it is a software problem....
