Washer just stopped mid cycle full of water and clothes, noticed electrical hot smell, would not do anything but try to add more water in any cycle, after a few hours cooldown the unit will spin and add water but wont agitate from any cycle. Also after removing the back control panel to check wires and voltages it seems to just fill the tub with water to the top no matter what postion the water level control is in. I may have disturbed or pulled the hose loose on the water level switch. Does this sound like a timer issue or something more.

I would guess it was the motor could you smell getting hot, part # 21001950
