Hi all, I downloaded tha manual, but it does not show me where the spring attaches to the dryer.

I had to replace the motor & did not take a pic of where the spring initally was attached.
If I try to attach it to the right under the vent tube, it pulls the idler in the wrong direction & the idler has no belt tension.
From what I see, it appears the spring should be on the left so the idler has tension on the drive belt, whcih I also replaced.

A pic would be great if someone has one, Thanks!

If you have this type and it is difficult to route it as such you might have the belt down in the groove on the tub. WRONG!. You also have to lay the flat side of the belt against the drum on this model. All others require the ribbed side.

On page 3-15 in manual it shows how it is set up. As you face it spring goes to the right and down if my memory serves me correctly.

You're right & I saw that what was confusing me is how the belt loses tension when to the right as show below:

But appears to have correct tension as show below when to the left:

But then I got to thinking & noticed how the top of the arm where the spring is attached 'hits' the arm of the motor.
I decided to pull the arm to the right hard & got this:

And here's how it should look on my LSG1000:

AJ, please feel free to add the final pic to the archive because as you can see, it is different than what is already there.
Thanks for all your help everyone.
This is what I get for not taking a before pic, then revisiting the repair a couple of months later.
