My customer's Sam Sung 24"frontload washer drains all the water,spins may be 10 seconds,Fault E6 shows on display,stops completely, no more action.The user's manual does not show E6(it has E9),what is yhe problem?Please help! :embarassed:

Hi: The E6 error code relates to a faulty wash heater, but before replacing the Heater be sure to check it's wiring for continuity & also the terminals for good connection. The Element is easy enough to check with a small Multimeter, but remember to disconnect all power from the machine first.

Hello Jaytee & Specialist,thanks for the info about the Samsung washer.Since I am not a Samsung repair man,info is hard to find.A local Samsung man told me to replace the control board because there is no heater in this washer.I just did it today and will post the results after a few days to let the customer use it.Thanks again.You guys are very helpful and great! :)

Hi: Just looked at the P801 service manual & it shows that there is a Wash Heater in the bottom of the tub & that both E5/6 errors are related to incorrect water heating.
Please let us know what happens.

This is Shillion again.Thank you AJ & Specialist for giving me the info and the service manual.The P801 clearly has a heater.My local Samsung man said there was no heater in the washer.I took his word and replaced the PCB without further diagnosing.I will talk to the machine owner to find out whether I did the correct thing.It's very difficult to repair this machine without first getting the service manual.Now I am well equipped to deal with this machine.I will post the result after I confirmed the machine is good.Thanks again! ;)

Hello AJ,Andy,Jaytee,this is Shillion again.Since I replaced the electronic control,must be 2 weeks ago,there has been no complaint from the owner of the Samsung washer.That's good news.I learned a lot about this model now.I will post again if there's any more problem.You guys are great!I shall be learning a lot more from this forum.It's better than going back to school. O0
