LG Gas Dryer roller thump when first starting

Hi.  In parallel to my new LG Waveforce washer with one question, I also bought an LG DLGX5171 gas dryer.  This thing works great, with one oddity.  When first using the dryer after it's been sitting for a day or so (even empty), the first 30 secs or so there's a loud, rhythmic thumping that sounds like the rollers have flat-spotted.  After running for a very short time (even before the heat starts) the rollers eventually smooth out, then it's quiet for the rest of the load, and even quiet if you run another load shortly thereafter.  I've not experienced this so much with other dryers in the past, and wondered if it's just the nature of the beast, so to speak?

If it smooths out after a few seconds then it's OK. We call that thumping noise "the heartbeat". Whirlpool dryers do it too. I wouldn't worry unless the noise doesn't go away.

They had a probo with bad drums in a lot of these LGs

Thanks for the responses.  I ran the dryer for a few more loads today, and the thump was for about 15 seconds on the first load, and subsequent loads during the day were virtually thump free.  I'm guessing it's the rollers, as even with a full load it quiets down real fast.  Guess I can live with this "heartbeat"..
