Kenmore top load 110.28002010 will not finnish drain cycle

The washer times out in drain cycle. Spin light on & door lock off means long drain or long fill?
Fault code shows    F9 &  E1  which means drain problem. The machine seems to drain all of the water, but can not leave the drain cycle. Unplugging the power for 10 minutes allows any cycle to begin, but the first normal drain cycle will cause long drain time out. To do laundry in NORMAL cycle for example will have the wash water drain, but can not go to rinse. unplug power for 10 minutes and then go to RINSE/DRAIN. Unplug power for another 10 minutes and go to DRAIN/SPIN
and the wash is done. My wife wants a new washer or husband, which ever can do laundry.

Problem sounds like drain pump needs a good cleaning.

Did you get a chance to clean out the drain pump?

Thanks for the advice. Drain pipe, pump to drain pipe and pump impeller were all ok. While the washer was on its face I spun the basket to see if any filth was in the little bit of water and heard things rolling under the basket. Bet they get clogged up. HElP. I removed the 7/16 screw, but cannot lift the wash plate to remove the rolling items. None of the videos seem to be my washer.
