Kenmore HE2 F/L Washer

Had a call of a Kenmore HE2 Front Load Washer with an F28 Error code and would not spin. She said that she is having her house remodeled and just moved this washer to her new laundry room and that it had worked fine before. When I got there she said "oh, by the way when I plugged it in and hit start I heard a pop."
First thing I did was test the receptacle:
From neutral to ground= 120 volts
From Hot to ground= 120 volts.
Her "electrician" had wired the receptacle so that 240 volts was sent to this washer! Found that the Motor Control Board was fried.
When I went back to install it, she had a different contractor there and asked if she could take a picture of the big burn marks on the MCU...

I was at a house once that had just got all new appliances. After the electrician come back and wired in the generator the refrigerator stopped cooling. Come to find out every 120V outlet in the house had 240V going to it.

That is the impression I got. Pretty costly mistake and she was not very happy...
