Clothes are still wet after washing them
« on: July 19, 2012, 07:43:59 AM »
I can still ring water out of the clothes by hand after the washer shuts off so I use the spin cycle again before putting them in the dryer.

If your washer has a belt you might need to replace it. If your washer is beltless you might need a new coupling. Post your model number for a better answer.

First thing I would look at is the belt. It maybe slipping and needs to be replaced.

Your model washer uses belt part # 134511600

I agree, this washer has an elecric drain pump. It may be draining, but it needs a good belt to spin the clothes out well.

It is not very hard to replace the belt. Your remove 2 screws at the base of the front panel and drop it down one inch then you can remove it. Remove the old belt and install the new one without tools. The idler is spring loaded you basically mount the belt on all the pulleys moving the spring loaded idler over till you can get the belt on there. Release the idler and it's spring keeps the tension. Fairly easy.
