Dead Dryer

Only 5 years old and today it's won't turn on.
It's a model whirlpool WED5820SW0.

Check your thermal fuse with an ohm meter if it is bad replace and clean out the duct both inside dryer and out.

Unplug it and take it outside. Remove the rear cover and check the fuse. If it is open the dryer will not run. Remove and inspect the filter chute for lint buildup. If the filter chute is clogged that fuse will continue to blow. It has smaller wires going to it because it is connected to the door switch so when it melts it is as if you just opened the door. Others things to check is the door switch and the start button. I worked on an older dryer that is made like yours a while back and posted a few photos:

We found the door switch is broken.
