kenmore dish washer 665.13119K701 noisy

The washer loads the water and then begins the wash cycle with a knocking noise coming from under the machine. The water seems to spray all over ok. Do I just buy a new washer motor or is there a possibly less expensive answer?

Can you see just were the water is leaking from?

Sorry, I wrote the problem poorly.  There is no leak. The dish washer fills with water fine, and then sprays water properly through all of the spray arms. Once the spraying begins, there is a loud noise at the bottom of the dish washer. I assume that is the wash motor and want to know if I have to purchase a new motor or is there a cheaper way out possibly?

I would check the food chopper first to see if something is caught in it. If the food chopper is ok then you are probably looking at replacing the circulation pump motor.

Thank you very much. The food chopper was cutting into the housing. I removed it, partially reassembled the dishwasher and no more noise. Calling repair clinic parts now. thanks again.
