Whirpool F/L Severe Storm flooded Basements, some turn the panel others nothing

Hello friends: Last week there was a severe storm and several basements were flooded with appliances (Whirpool duets and Dryers) I mean 3 to 4 ft.  Case 1: the control panel is NOT TURNS ON, Case 2: The control panel turns on and AFTER 3 SECONDS TURNS OFF. Case 3: the first time that was connected to power , the control panel TURNED ON but didn't work, On the second try did not turned ON. I have asked the customers to wait a week to let motors and electronic components/boards completely dry. What is your recommendation. Even if repaired soon will emerge more failures?. it worth to repair them?

Electrics (and electronics) just don't like being bathed in water. I would speculate that a soaked appliance like a washer, dryer, furnace, sump pump, lawn mower is going to be endless trouble after such a soaking. Normally, I would remove anything electric (electronic) and wash in alcohol and dry with compressed air, let it sit in the sunshine and then after an appropriate time, reapply power. ..............

...........................then, file an insurance claim.
