Whirlpool Duet Dryer Wont' Start

My wife was using the dryer when it stopped in the middle of the cycle. The control panel still seems to be working. You can select a cycle, but when you push the start button nothing happens. It's a Duet Model GEW9250PW1.

Do you think it's even worth fixing?

Check the belt. Your model dryer has a switch that will kill the dryer if the belt breaks.
Your model dryer uses belt part # 661570
This is a common problem that I see all the time. If you find the belt is broken simply replace the belt and you should be good to go.

Could also be the thermal fuse, 3392519.

tgoods is correct, the thermal fuse and belt switch are in series with each other. If either one is open the dryer motor will not get power.

I have attached a copy of the tech sheet. Let us know what you find.

yes, its worth fixing for sure, even if you have a bad board or motor!!!
