Well since you are learning I will give you a trick of the trade about these gas dryers. To check the the burner Assembly remove the 2 wires on the FLAME SENSOR. With the dryer running and set on heat, carefully touch the 2 wires together(it could bite ya if you ain't carefull now) watch for the ignitor to glow, wait 20 seconds and separate the 2 wires. This will shut down the ignitor and allow the electricity to flood the magnets and open the gas gates in the valve.(The Ignitor robs the coils of their ability to open while it is glowing) The raw gas will come out and ignite. Get someone to unplug the dryer for you OR reach up and unplug the cord to kill power going into the dryer, to conclude this test. Do not let the wires from the flame sensor touch anything until power is disconnected or you will look like Burnt Toast
That is the old school way of checking the burner assembly.
