Dryer powers up but wont start

LG DLG2524W dryer will power up but when you push the start button it just makes a low pitch buzzing sound. I replaced the high limit thermostat and the lint filter. I cleaned out all lint from dryer and duct work as the check filter light was blinking and on. Also cleaned the two metal sensors in front of the filter. The check filter light is still on also.

sounds like the motor to me. Check the windings.

How do I check the motor windings?
Do you have a part number for the motor if I have to order one?

2or 3 ohms between terminals four and five. See the Manual

Motor winding is not the problem.  One of the springs for the centrifugal switch has broken off.  You can test this by opening the door, press and hold the door switch button in, turn on the power, press the start button and manually turn the drum by hand.  If it turns on, replace the motor.
