Jenn-Air Cooktop CVG4240W Service Manual

I have been picked to clean up another techs mess on this unit. Does anyone have a service manual for it? I would greatly appreciate it. One burner continues to click after it's lit. I have a sensor/ignitor ordered, but knowing the other tech that was there, I foresee additional issues. Thanks.....Mo

Sounds like the switch, as the burner is not a flame rectification unit. Check to see if it is loose on the valve.

@ oldstoveguy. This one is a flame rectification unit, I proved it by blowing out a flame and it relit. I have one burner that continues to spark after it lights. Leads me to a bad sensor/ignitor. The other tech replaced all the ignitor switches and left the problem, so it's up to me.

Are you sure that is the correct model number?

I can't find anything on the model you listed, but I have a service manual for a CVG4280W

That means module most likely. If I put that model number in a search it comes up a non- rectification unit. You turn it to spark it lights on the knob, and back off for high. I copied model to the Repair Clinic and that is what came up.

Honestly, I did not double check model number, This Model number was pre printed on the work order. It sounds like I blew this call, I will pick up the pieces when and if I get it back. Where I work it could be assigned to any tech, so I may not even get to return on the call. One of many dislikes I have about my employer......Thanks guys I will let you know how this one goes.....
