GE Gas Range Simmer Adjustment
« on: April 18, 2008, 08:09:51 PM »

Model #JGB918SEL3SS, the customer was concerned because when the left front burner was turned to it's lowest setting, the flame would go out and then relight by the spark electrode. Many gas ranges and cook tops (this one is actually made by LG) have a simmer or pilot adjustment that can be made by inserting a thin flat blade screwdriver down the center of the knob shaft. I adjusted the simmer setting until it would glow even when the valve was turned to it's lowest setting without going out. Made a few more adjustments to the other burners and now they all work well.
