Kitchenaid Range LR Burner Inoperative

Model # KESC308LSS0, The customer turned on the left rear burner, heard a pop and then the unit went dead. After resetting the circuit breaker, the unit would function, but the LR burner was completely inoperative. After gaining access to the control panel, I found what appears to be a terminal connector that had worked it's way loose and contacted an exposed screw under the panel shorting 110vac to the chassis. This resulted in the contacts of the switch to be burned and no longer functioned properly. I repaired the connector and replaced the infinite switch with a new one, and now the burner works again.
