Maytag Neptune Model #MAH6700AWW starting issue

Picked this set up for $200 on Sunday. Washer worked fine but had some funk in it. It stank so bad I did not want to bring it inside. Lol! Fixed that issue with a complete teardown and some scrubbing. Guess they were using to much soap? Anyway the dryer had an issue. Everything would light up but fail to start when the start button was pressed. Lady said she thought it had a broken belt but I checked that before buying it. I messed with it at her house a few minutes and disconnected both and brought them home after the purchase. I plugged the dryer in at home and it fired right up! Before it acted like a door switch or the belt was off. Or maybe one of her fuses or breakers was bad? No fault codes. Anyway I disassembled it and cleaned what very lint had built up. I have run several loads in it with no more issues. Anyone seen this before in one of these machines? I also noticed it is a identical build to the Samsung dryer I had a few months back. Only difference the parts for this machine are WAY MORE expensive? Why is that? It makes no sense to me at all.

Whirlpool (Maytag, Jenn-Aire, KitchenAid, Amana, Roper, some Kenmore models, etc) has the most expensive parts on the market. Their products are very expensive to repair. LG and Samsung parts are half to 1/3 the cost of WPL and easier to repair.
