Hey Folks
I have gotten the LE error code on my LG dishwasher. Not sure the model number but I can check when I go home (it's newer with all the buttons on the top of the door as opposed to front). Anyway, I have researched this site and there was a lot of great info on this error code but I wanted to specify my question to my circumstance. Last night we had a turkey dinner and I foolishly put the baster in dishwasher and the small tube at the end of the baster broke off (presumably because it was sticking out of the bottom of the cutlery rack where the lower blade arm hit it). The piece that broke off is plastic and is roughly the width of one of the screws (threaded part only) in the sump assembly and probably half the length of it.
So of course the error occurs typically 3 minutes into the cycle and when we open the door there is water pooled. Once we restart a cycle the water drains as many others have pointed out. I disassembled the sump and made my way down to the impeller but didn't take that apart. I couldn't see any obstruction and I wasn't sure how freely that impeller is suppose to spin. To give you an idea I could easily turn the impeller but it wouldn't spin freely like if you tried to spin a wheel (or blade arms above it would spin). So my questions:
1) Should I disassemble the impeller and see if their is any obstruction under it?
2) What are the odds this is a coincidence and it is in fact a severed wire in the door.
3) Any extra advice? I can post pictures or video tonight if it will help
