Kenmore(Whirlpool) Dryer Long Dry Time

Complaint: Long dry time.
Appliance checked out fine.  Found kinked foil venting to be the problem.  Cleaned out dryer and installed semi-rigid vent and that solved the problem.

For sure...crazy that people put these things in with a fire/obstruction hazard just because it's easier...

I use vent hose that's UL listed for use with dryers.  I don't care for the semi-rigid corrugated foil venting.  It dents easily and it's hard to install.  If the dryer gets pushed against the wall it may kink the hose but then all you have to do is pull the dryer back out.  If you push the  dryer with semi-rigid vent against the wall, you have to remove the vent and either replace it or remove the dents. I rarely use more than 3 feet of vent hose.
