GE Washer Clutch Replacement

I have a GE washer with a bad clutch.  Do you guys generally replace the whole clutch or try to refurbish the existing?  Those clutches are quite a bit more expensive than a Whirlpool clutch.

I have always replaced the whole asembly.  The reason is that it is not cost effective for me to try and rebuild a damaged clutch.  A damaged clutch usually has the friction surfaces damaged which results in starnge noises or vibration should you attempt to repair it by just replacing the clutch plate.  The price for this clutch ranges from $79.95 to $149.95.  Here is a source that has 18 in stock / hence a price reduction:
