I have the LDS5811ST, also with the main control board burned at the same location, as well as the connectors on the wire harness. After working with the local LG service technician, replacing the damaged control board (under warranty) and wire harness, the dishwasher had new issues. Apparently, LG has re-designed the control board for this model dishwasher, since the replacement control board was definetely different (component layout) that the original one. Now, the unit will power on, drain all old existing water, fill with fresh water, and begin the wash cycle. However, when you open the door, it continues to run, spraying water everywhere. At first thought, the door switch was defective. However, the main fill valve cuts off when you open the door (sounds normal). Once it finishes the wash cycle (including opening the detergent door), it drains all the dirty water and appears to begin the Rinse cycle, as indicated on the control panel. However, a couple minutes into the rinse cycle, it stoped. I opened the door and discovered the sprayers would spin intermittantly, spraying a small amount of water as they turned (slowly). After contacting LG Customer Service and alleging we had received a defective replacement control board, another board was ordered and installed, which resulted in the exact same results. Any thoughts ?
Thanks,
