Maytag Performa Dryer Will not Start

I have a Maytag model # PYET244AYW and it just will not turn on. I know very little about repairing appliances but I do know how to check my household breaker box. Circuit on breakerbox has not been tripped. I called someone locally and they said it may be the thermal fuse.

How do I troubleshoot this situation, and how do I access the thermal fuse to take it out to see if that is the problem ?

Pop the top and you will find the fuse mounted beside the heater element. The fuse blows on these when their is an air flow problem such as a bad blower wheel or obstructions in the vent.
