Whirlpool LA8800xsw2 Washer

The washer won't agitate or spin or empty-- The timer works-- The lid switch works and the washer fills ok but that is all it does as the timer goes around. Have tried in all wash cycles and all water levels...

What is the possible problem and how hard would it be to fix?

Could be a bad connection on motor relay.Wiggle the quick disconnect on the motor.

could also be a bad Timer

I found one that had the plug backed out of the timer from vibration

The timer goes around and makes a clicking sound as it cycles and it will fill the washer when it is in any of the fill modes but it will not agitate or spin or drain when the timer gets to those spots.

Can the timer be tested to see if it is just not triggering the motor to agitate or spin or drain before replacing it?
