Whirlpool Washer No Power Up

I am working on a Whirlpool Front Load washing machine - Model # WFW9400ST00 - and when I press the power button nothing happens - HOWEVER the button seems to stick in sometimes, is there a way to maybe change a button or is it in a interface type of thing or could it be another problem altogether? Thanks in advance for any help!!

See if you have power to the ccu and if there is power going to the interface.

The power cord had a short in it as if something had chewed through it, Fixed the cord and everything is OK - thats crazy !! Thanks for all the ideas and help!!

Something I see on dishwasher power cords ever now and then, but can't say I have ever seen it happen on a washing machine.
